Interview: TERRORIZER - Pete Sandoval & Lee Harrison

To be honest, it was never planned for me to come back after my surgery. I was ready to retire.

It’s been a little bit quiet around Pete Sandoval since his departure from MORBID ANGEL. The shy, curly-haired drum-god is on the road with TERRORIZER again and he’s still one of the fastest playing drummers in the business. Together with his long-time buddy and bandmate Lee Harrison he told us some anecdotes from the past 35 years of Heavy Metal.

We met with Pete „Commando“ Sandoval before the TERRORIZER gig in Vienna’s VIPER ROOM. He not only put his mark on the scene with such classics as MORBID ANGELs „Blessed Are The Sick“ and „Altars Of Madness“, but also made himself a household name in the last three decades with his own Death-Grind outfit TERRORIZER, whose „World Downfall“ Album came like a storm on the unsuspecting crowd almost 30 years ago. Pete’s buddy and band mate Lee Harrison, a highly acclaimed drummer of Death Metal legends MONSTROSITY himself, supports Pete on Guitars on the recent album “Caustic Attack” and also shared with us some stories from days long past.
